Our Prayer Ministry (Team and Warriors) is open to all Christians in our community. The Prayer team meets at 6 pm in the Church Parlor. Please come and join us.
Lindsay United MC has a vital and spirit-driven prayer ministry that actively encourages and promotes prayer in the church, the daily lives of our members, and our community. We strive to be open and responsive to the Holy Spirit's work. We pray that God’s love, guidance, and healing power will be released for the benefit of His people and to Jesus' Glory.
Psalm 127:1-2 reminds us that “God’s power is released into ministry situations through prayer. Without God being part of what we do in ministry, then they are just our human plans and not God’s. In Matthew 7:7 Jesus taught us to turn to God for all things: “Ask and it will be given to you seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”
Our Prayer Ministry includes a Prayer Team that meets weekly to identify various needs for prayer for our community, the church, and individuals with special needs, to recognize the actions of a living God in our lives, and for the power of lifting things in prayer as a community of believers.
In addition to the Prayer Team, we also have a group of faithful Prayer Warriors. A Prayer Warrior is a Christian dedicated to praying for others and themselves. They are noted for their passionate prayers, their belief in the power of prayer, their willingness to stop what they are doing, and lifting a person or event in prayer when the times and need for prayer arise. We send prayer requests out to our Prayer Warriors as we become aware of the need for prayers.
Our Prayer Warriors is part of an online community that usually includes the Prayer Team. If you would like to become a Prayer Warrior, please contact the church office and additional information will be sent and someone from our Prayer Team will make contact with you and help you get involved.
Participation does not require membership.
