Heritage Sunday
Heritage Sunday honors our church's past while also envisioning the church's future. While often celebrated in the springtime, Lindsay United celebrates Heritage Sunday the second Sunday in August.

2026 HERITAGE SUNDAY SPEAKER
Adam (AW) Shahan grew up attending Lindsay United Methodist Church. He is now an ordained elder in the Oklahoma Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. He currently serves as the senior pastor of New Hope UMC in Oklahoma City.
“Our church's strength is our people and their faith. This is a good gathering, and everyone enjoys mingling with past and present members. We have pictures out to remember and laugh and spark conversation."
“I didn't grow up in this church, but Heritage Sunday is a chance to meet the people who were here before me and made the church what it is today. I hear people talk about their kids and grandkids, but Heritage Sunday is when I have a chance to meet who they have been talking about."
Speaker: Rev. Allison Jean

Heritage Sunday will include a worship service followed by a lunch. Our worship service is in our sanctuary and will be similar to other Sundays. Watch the video from last year's Heritage Sunday service above. After the service, lunch will take place in Percy Hall.
